How to wear a blazer and which is the best length and colour to buy

Uncategorized Apr 23, 2021

Buy Less. Live more.

Blazers are expensive!

But how great are op shops for finding something loved before. AMAZING.

It's going to be a while before we can venture out into those glorious places again.

How about we shop our own and other Family Members wardrobes for the moment (I have made a video below showing you how I make my Husband's blazer work for me).

When it comes to blazers - It's not only about looking for the right cut and length for you but the colour is soooooo important.

My collection begins with my best light neutral - this one is a longer length.

Then I have my (hair colour type) skin colour of pink. This is a much shorter length but purchased oversized to suit my relaxed vibe. I include how to make this shorter length work best in my video below.

(My best Hair colour type extra colour of) blue in a longer boyfriend style.

My Eye colour of "a natural go away green" in a longer length.

Find out what colours suit you through the colour of your eyes

Uncategorized Apr 21, 2021

Isn't it frustrating when you are standing there looking at a clothes rack trying to work out which item to grab to try on when someone leans in RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU and grabs exactly what you were looking at?

I know, right? How rude.

But I guess they had one thing going for them that you didn't have. They were committed, knew what to grab and this for them took only seconds to do.

How about you become more stealth like, too?

You can do this by knowing which kind of color suits you straight off without messing around wasting time on trying them all.

It's all in your eyes.

If your eyes are bright and clear, you suit brighter greens and if your eyes are more cloudy (I call it dirty), then you suit more go away greens like sage for instance.

I have dirty green eyes (of which I love) so you will see by the photos below just which kind of green I collect everything in.

What To Look For In A Winter Coat

Uncategorized Apr 21, 2021
Nat Tucker Style Not Repeating Colour.png

Try not to repeat a colour even when it comes to your socks!

Now I am about to bust a myth here so get ready for it and you may need to brace yourself a little.

BUT black really is not the best coat colour to buy and I apologise if this makes mush of your brain and turns your whole world upside down but I never promised that our journey together here would be easy - fun yes, but easy...nope.

When you are encasing yourself in a huge piece of heavy fabric and it happens to be black, you have (without giving it a moment's thought) turned yourself into one big rather burnt marshmallow (but with little legs sticking out the bottom).

Dressing with a Winter coat means that you must consider your coat as an extra frame, so in reality your coat needs to be in contrast to everything else you wear in Winter.

You can take stock of your wardrobe and work out the colours that you mainly wear over winter and which would be the number one best coat colour to highlight and f

How to Choose a Fitbit Colour That's Perfect for You and Your Wardrobe

Uncategorized Apr 21, 2021

My Son sat down at the desk next to me last week just as I was loading up this weeks video.

He turns to me, looks at me kind of strangely and asks "did someone actually request this topic or did you just randomly think it was a good idea?

My response.

"Chase, I have received over a dozen emails asking me to touch on this topic, so yes, it was requested".... as I blew a raspberry in his direction.

"Mum, I was just going to give you a compliment as it is so on the money right now, who would have thought it was something to think about but yet, it really is, well done to you".

"Gosh - thanks Son".

So there you go. I am feeling a little chuffed right now I must say. A lovely compliment from a loved one does that, don't you agree? :)

But back to the subject at hand. How to pick the perfect fitbit colour for you and your wardrobe.

Now - Let me explain.

For me personally, I know that I have pink skin. So working back from there I go to my Brilliant Colour Combinations eBook and look at all of the

Blazers, Sandals and The Simple Staple Wardrobe System

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

It really makes such a difference when we stop just guessing at what we need and start applying a system, having a map and a plan ensures that we have all that we need to make our entire wardrobe work.

That's why in this post, I have added a book on jackets, blazers, necklaces, shoes, pants and a few staple tees that I feel are much needed when it comes to wardrobe gaps.

I have included a photo of myself wearing my chosen denim jacket colour as I know that it helps you when I cut through 7 years of my extreme learning so that you can just get right there quickly and today!.

Your time is valuable and it is what you are short of most of all.

Off-the-shoulder Tops and Gladiators!

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

I have had a few people ask me lately if it is still worth investing in the off-the-shoulder trend because I first mentioned it a couple of years ago. They were a little worried that it may be "old news" for this Summer.

Go for it and have some fun! The off-the-shoulder trend is still hot!

If you are not into off-the-shoulder you can always give the cut out shoulder a go.

Gladiator sandals will still be going strong this Spring/Summer so if you haven't dived in yet, you may like to think about it.

Oh, and these tops pictured would look way better if they were tucked... but you knew I was going to say that right?! :)

In the meantime, you can have a look at a few tips on Summer outfits here:

Working with my Light, Dark, Colour and Print theory, the white sandal in the second outfit would be both the light and the print but if you added the three bracelets to the outfit, the bracelets would become the stronger print taking the sanda

Choosing a Head Piece for Race Day is so hard! Not anymore!

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

This post is all about Racewear. After all, it is the season and quite often the reason us ladies actually manage to relax and get to dress up and have a lot of fun.

Personally, I have no clue about horses but I am indeed an expert in tossing back the bubbles as I watch others that do know what they are doing (I even try to slap them on the back in congratulations but I quite often miss their back and watch as my leg gives way beneath me under my open palm return... nothing like a good self thigh slap I reckon).

BUT right now let's chat Race Wear and the importance of NOT picking out a colour in your dress or shoes to match your fascinator.

NO! Let your head piece be a drawing card, your signature, a full stop at the end of whatever it is you are trying to say.

Make them STAND UP AND TAKE NOTICE! or at the very least when you stand up - they notice.

Both the fascinator and the cocktail hat are best worn with a dress for the races. If you choose to wear a t

Wearing Stripes for Spring

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

It sure has been busy around the Make It Look Easy headquarters as we get ready for Spring.

Make sure that you keep your Spring list that I sent you all last week handy as you watch the new trends filter into stores.

If, at anytime, you are unsure of what top to wear with a pair of print shorts or pants, just chuck on a chambray shirt, it works with everything.

Print Shoes and Which Ones to Choose

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

Light, dark, colour and a print.

You hear me say it all of the time but did you realise that some prints are more light and some actually work as dark?

Let me show you what I mean.

Notice how I am wearing dark pants with all 3 of my light print shoes and medium to light bottoms (and bare legs) with my dark print shoes.

The key is to always contrast your last hem length to create a frame for your entire outfit.

If you really only want one print shoe in your life, try to find one with an equal dose of both light and dark for ease of balance with every kind of bottoms you own.

Prints: How They Work and How to Make Them Work

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2021

Now, I have been asked to give you some guidance on how to wear prints that don't really suit you.

Yes! it can be done!

This question has been asked by someone who has been following along for a long time and knows that she suits 'creative' prints like aztec, indigenous (can't believe I spelt that one right straight off the bat) oriental, ornamental (or those two either), paisley, home made, embroidered (that one was spell checked) and hand dyed prints, so basically anything that you would find as a traveler or source from a gorgeous street market.

Even though Hayley suits those creative prints the very best, she would also like to dip her toe into the other kind of colour type prints too (it is so nice to have a change and mix things up a bit).

So Hayley (and anyone else who suits the creative colour type prints), you can in fact wear other prints as long as they are in your most awesome colours.

Make sure you look for them in spicy rich exotic florals, gold foiled stripes, and h
